📍 Day 1: Arrive in Sarria
Welcome to Galicia! Make your way to Sarria, the starting point for pilgrims walking the last 100 km. Check into your accommodation, explore the old town, and get your first pilgrim stamp.
👣 Day 2: Sarria → Portomarín (22 km)
Walk through peaceful countryside, oak forests, and medieval villages. Arrive at Portomarín, a riverside town rebuilt stone by stone after the Belesar Reservoir was created.
👣 Day 3: Portomarín → Palas de Rei (25 km)
Begin with a gentle climb, then enjoy rolling hills and charming hamlets. Reach Palas de Rei, a classic Camino stop known for its traditional Galician cuisine.
👣 Day 4: Palas de Rei → Arzúa (29 km)
One of the longest days, but filled with beautiful woodland trails and Romanesque churches. End in Arzúa, famous for its delicious local cheese.
👣 Day 5: Arzúa → O Pedrouzo (20 km)
A pleasant walk through shaded forests and quiet small villages. Arrive in O Pedrouzo, the final stop before Santiago.
👣 Day 6: O Pedrouzo → Santiago de Compostela (19 km)
Your final stretch! Walk through eucalyptus forests and enter Santiago through Monte do Gozo, where pilgrims historically saw the cathedral towers for the first time. Arrive at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela — an unforgettable moment.
