Day 1: Les Houches → Les Contamines
5.5 hrs trek – ↑650m / ↓1,300m

Start your TMB adventure from Les Houches, hiking over Col du Tricot with stunning glacier views. Descend to Les Contamines for the night.
Day 2: Les Contamines → Les Chapieux
7 hrs trek – ↑1,300m / ↓900m
– Stay: Mountain hut
Pass Notre-Dame de la Gorge and climb to Col du Bonhomme and Col de la Croix du Bonhomme. Enter the Beaufortain region and descend into the quiet Chapieux valley.
Day 3: Les Chapieux → Col Chécrouit (Italy)
8 hrs trek – ↑1,190m / ↓1,080m
– Stay: Mountain hut
A short transfer leads to the ascent toward Col de la Seigne, crossing into Italy. Descend through Val Veny with breathtaking views of Mont Blanc’s south face.
Day 4: Col Chécrouit → Refuge Bonatti / Courmayeur
6.5 hrs trek – ↑1,100m / ↓950m
– Stay: Hut or hotel
Descend to Courmayeur for a rest stop, then hike to Rifugio Bertone with magnificent views. Continue along the scenic balcony trail to Bonatti Refuge.
Day 5: Bonatti → La Fouly (Switzerland)
7 hrs trek – ↑920m / ↓1,320m
– Stay: Inn
Climb to Grand Col Ferret and cross into Switzerland. Enjoy views of alpine meadows and glaciers before reaching the peaceful village of La Fouly.
Day 6: La Fouly → Champex → Trient
6–7 hrs trek
Option 1: ↑870m / ↓950m;
Option 2: ↑1,050m / ↓1,400m
– Stay: Inn
Transfer to Champex. Choose between a gentle balcony trail or the more challenging alpine route via Fenêtre d’Arpette before descending to Trient.
Day 7: Trient → Le Tour (France)
6 hrs trek – ↑1,090m / ↓900m
Ascend to Col de Balme and re-enter France. Finish with a ridge walk along Aiguillette des Posettes, descending to Le Tour to complete your Mont Blanc circuit.
