China Yubeng Trekking Adventure

Your adventure begins at Lijiang Airport(LJG) where your driver will be waiting for you outside the Arrivals area. Alternatively, if you’re already in Lijiang, we can arrange a pick-up from any point upon request (not included).

Your adventure ends with an overnight stay at Lijiang; from here you may decide to continue your adventure in China or we can arrange an airport transfer for any flight departing that day. The airport transfer takes around an hour.

Airport transfers are included in the price if you arrive on Day 1 and depart on Day 7.

• Standard travel insurance may not cover all the activities included in your adventure, so it's essential to check the details carefully. There are adventure-specific providers that many travellers have used in the past, such as True Traveller (for those based in the UK or Europe), or Rise + Shield, both of which offer cover for a wide range of adventurous activities.

There is a limit to the weight that the luggage transfer during the tour must be softbag and no heavier than 15kg. 

You will also need to have a daypack to hold your basic kit for each day of walking. We recommend that this is not over 6kg, and the lighter the better. Please bear in mind that you will need to carry a significant amount of water, so this will add to the weight of your daypack.

Extra items not required on the mountain can be left in Lijiang.

>> Difficulty rating of this tour?
This trek involves daily hikes of 5–7 hours with elevation gains up to 1,000 meters and altitudes reaching around 3,800 meters. No technical climbing skills are required, but participants should have good physical fitness and prior hiking experience. The terrain includes mountain trails, forests, and rocky paths, with some steep ascents and descents.

>> Can I leave my exceed luggage?
You can securely leave any excess luggage before setting off on the trek for free of charge.

>> AMS Altitude Sickness?
The trek reaches elevations of up to 3,800 meters, where mild altitude symptoms (like headache or shortness of breath) may occur. Our itinerary allows gradual acclimatization, and guides are trained to monitor participants’ conditions. Staying hydrated, resting well, and avoiding alcohol can help reduce symptoms.
